They alleged that despite three months time given by the Government and PHE Minister Sham Choudhary, their issues remained unresolved.
The protesting workers after holding demonstration there for some time, took out protest march towards the office of Chief Engineer PHE at B C Road. They were carrying banners and placards depicting their demands.
Addressing large gathering of workers, Tanveer alleged that process of biometrics as claimed by the Minister to be completed in three months has been abandoned. No separate wage head for the PHE daily wagers/ ITI trained and CP workers was created. Their pending wages of nearly 38 months have not been released till today and all the promises made by the Government have proved to be the cruel joke once again. The Government is continuously befooling them. No wages were released on Rakshabandan, Janamashtami festivals and on coming Eid also, there is no such hope from the Govt.
