POONCH, Sept 5: A villager from Mendhar area who was returning from PoK along with 41 guests from that side via Chakkan-da-Bagh today was detained by security agencies along with objectionable material.
A police officer said that 36 PoK guests and five Indian returnees arrived in Poonch bound Rawlakote bus at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point. During scrutiny of the luggage and frisking by the security agencies, some anti-India propaganda material was recovered from the possession of a villager from Mendhar area. Posters and CDs were seized and he was later handed over to Poonch police.
Identified as Mohd Sadiq, son of Sheikh Mohd, he hailed from Chhatral village of Mendhar. He has been placed under sustained interrogation, the police said.
