JAMMU, Sept 26: All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association has alleged that Government has failed to keep its promise.
In a meeting of the VRS given employees of the Transport Corporation today, its president Dev Raj Bali strongly criticized the attitude of J&K Government for not fulfilling its promise made with the VRS employees of the SRTC as it was assured at the time of VRS that dues of all the workers will be cleared within 60 days but unfortunately nearly 700 workers are struggling for the last more than three years now for their pending dues.
Mr Bali urged the MD of the SRTC to release the arrears of 6th Pay Commission before the October 1, failing which they will be compelled to launch indefinite dharna outside his office. He also demanded pending 126 slabs of COLA of the VRS workers.
Prominent among other present in the meeting included D N Sharma, Sain Mohd, B V Sharma, Asan Elahi, Surjit Singh, Gulshan Singh, Jasbir Singh and Javed Iqbal.
