JAMMU, Sept 26: Junior Doctors Association (JDA) led by its president, Dr Sandeep Singh, met Commissioner Secretary, Health and Medical Education, MK Dwivedi, and discussed issues related to junior Doctors.
While speaking, Dr Singh, apprised Commissioner Secretary, about acute shortage of registrars/ demonstrators in various department of GMC.
The Secretary assured streamlining of the deputation process at the earliest.
Dr Singh also highlighted the issue of pay suspension/ irregularities of in-service doctors undergoing post-graduation.
Dwivedi assured that if required he will personally discuss the issue with the Secretary Finance Department and ensure a speedy settlement of the anomaly.
Dr Singh also raised the issue of security to on-duty doctors during the meeting, on which, the Secretary issued orders to the Principal and Medical Superintendent, GMC, to ensure proper security at all times.
Police Post GMC should also be pro-active towards the problems being faced by the Doctors, Dwivedi added.
