SFC not depositing employees’ money in PF accounts

JAMMU, Aug 7: J&K State Forest Corporation Employees Union,  Jammu has alleged that SFC management  has failed to deposit Provident Fund (PF) amount of the employees in the PF accounts of the  organisation for the last four months and also release their salary for the last two months.
In an emergency meeting of the J&K SFC Employees Union held here today, the members expressed serious concern over the non-release of the salary of the SFRC employees for the month of June and July 2016.  They expressed that employees’  families were facing lot of hardships due to non-release of their salaries.
They further alleged that many Divisional offices of the SFC have not deposited the Provident Fund amount of the employees with the organization while same is being deducted every month from the salaries of the workers.  This is happening for the last four months and even before in many cases. The Union also alleged that Corporation has  failed to recoup the overdraft of Rs 1.25 crore taken from J&K Bank during June 2016 and is paying huge interest.
The Union  also alleged that the Corporation management has failed to take action against various Divisional Managers of the SFC who have retained crores of rupees at the Divisional level.  Many of them have retained amount in the shape of FDRs with them to get huge benefit through interest  and this practice is going on since long.   They appealed to the Forest Minister Ch Lal Singh to intervene into the matter and streamline the system in the SFC and make recoveries from such officers.
