JAMMU, July 5: Minister for CAPD Zulfkar Choudhary has ordered an inquiry into the fake and wrong BPL cards prepared on pick and chose method in Ward No. 59 and 60, falling under Paloura in Jammu.
Official sources said that the action was taken after a written complaint was received by the minister with allegations that two ration depot holders of Paloura area in connivance with one local Rahul Kumar private scan agency managed to prepare a large number of fake BPL cards by paying Rs 500 to Rs 1000 each. A long list of beneficiaries under the category has been generated. Even some persons figure in BPL and as well as non-BPL lists. The Minister asked the officers to refer the case to the Crime Branch of State police.
