SRINAGAR, June 30:Legislative Council Chairman Haji Anayat Ali today directed constituting of a House Committee to probe the alleged supply of substandard medicines in Government hospitals of the State.
“I have read in the press about the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and I direct constituting of a House committee to look into it,” Ali said in the Legislative Council.
The Chairman’s direction came afte BJP legislator Ramesh Arora had yesterday raised the issue regarding the CAG report that 43 substandard medicines were supplied to the hospitals.
The Chairman had yesterday directed the legislator to submit the relevant documents in this behalf.
