SRINAGAR, June 28: An army jawan committed suicide by shooting self with his service rifle in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district last evening.
Police said that Krishan Pal Naruka, 22, of 24 Rashtriya Rifles last evening shot himself dead at Wasun army camp while he was on duty.
The colleagues rushed towards the soldier and found him in a pool of blood and he was immediately taken to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
After conducting the post-mortem at District Hospital Kangan, the body was flown to his native place in Madhya Pradesh.
