SRINAGAR, June 25: Congress today created uproar in the Legislative Assembly over manipulating the elections to ensure victory of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
As the House assembled this morning, the Congress MLAs led by Rigzin Jora said that the EVM machines of Ashajipora were not sealed and alleged tampering.
“It was shocking that the EVMs were found without proper seal forcing Congress candidates besides other candidates to boycott the counting. Despite the protests held by the Congress and other candidates, the counting was not stopped”, said Jora. He said that the election is a stage managed drama enacted to ensure victory of Chief Minister.
The Minister Haq Khan said that India has strong Election Commission and ruled out any tampering.
