JAMMU, May 30: In its Monday Theatre series, Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS today presented Vijay Malla’s new nukkad “Taleem Zaroori Hai” at a Jhuggi Jhopdi near JDA Colony, Paloura (JAMMU).
The story revolves around two children— Muni and Babloo, of a petty labourer who wants to continue their education with the help of their mother’s earning who does domestic work but unfortunately her husband spends her earning in boozing.
Muni and Babloo both approaches a group of social workers for help. Social workers approach their father and convince him that his children will not achieve anything without education and therefore he should give priority to education of his children.
They advises him that Government has provided free education to the needy children and he should avail such opportunities. They assured their parents that they will arrange their free education, books and uniform with other necessities.
This Nukkad was presented where such kind of children can be seen who are deprived of education. A large number of people were there to witness the play.
Actors who performed in the play were MC Kotwal, Anuroop Pathania, Nazuk Bhagat, Prabal Sharma, Rahul Dev, Akash Abrol and Vijay Malla. The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla and assisted by Anuroop Pathania.
