Srinagar, May 30: Government today said the newly formed Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation (JKMSCL) has generated Rs. 77, 85,040 as registration fee against the reception of 354 applications of which 330 registration certificates have already been issued.
In a written reply to a question of MLA Devender Singh Rana in the Lower House, Minister Incharge, Health and Medical Education, said to ensure the participation of genuine manufacturers/ importers/ empanelment of firms the JKMSCL has started registration of firms for participation in the tender on analogy of other corporation.
“Till date JKMSCL has received 354 application for registration of which 330 registration certificates has been issue, and revenue to the tune of Rs 77, 85, 040 has been generated on account of the receipt of registration fees,” he said.
The Minister stated that JKMSCL has finalized annual rate contract for various items/ groups and the same has been conveyed to various departments to place the requisition along with the transfer of funds for the year 2016-17 so that the hospital items can be procured and made available to indenting departments well in time.
“Annual rate contract for 552 items/molecules has finalized. The comparison rates drawn with the market and bureau of Pharma Public Sector Undertaking of India (BPPI) shows that JKMSCL has to finalise the rate contract for all the approved drugs / molecules at very genuine/ competitive rates,” the Minister said.
With the mandate of Zero Tolerance- Quality Control four GLP certified NABL accredited Drug Testing and Analytical Labs have been empanelment by JKMSCL for 1493 molecules through e- tendering to ensure all the medicines, IV fluids etc. are quality tested before it is supplied to health care institutions for use by patients, the Minister said.
He said the corporation has so far placed followed number of online purchase orders through e- Aushadhi / application/ manually; 1372 orders for Medicines, Drugs, and Fluids etc, 07 orders ( manually) for Hospital furniture and 07 orders ( Manually) for Heavy Duty/ Perforated steel Rackers and allied items.
