Srinagar, May 28: Admitting nexus between Health and Medical Education Department and unauthorized clinics, the Government said it will crackdown against such clinics and labs in the State.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, said they will close down all the unauthorized clinics and laboratories operating in the State. He was replying to a question of MLC Ashok Khajuria in the Upper House.
He said that district hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir are being equipped with modern and life-saving equipments and Government is taking steps to augment their capacity by upgrading health infrastructure.
He said under National Health Mission, the Government of India has agreed to support PPP model for outsourcing of diagnostic facilities. He said two CT Scan machines, one at Srinagar’s JLNM Hospital and another at District Pulwama have been provided to improve patient care.
The Minister sought the cooperation of all MLCs in streamlining the Health Department and said the rationalization of doctors would be possible only when the legislators won’t interfere in their transfers.
