Sir,
Sometime back news channels and media reports were agog with questions being raised on the qualifications of our Prime Minister. Not withstanding the politics involved, the questions in itself begs relevance.
The questions smack of lack of identifying issues of concern to the general public and if I am not exaggerating; also lack of issues provided by the present dispensation to the media. The truth remains that there has not been a single scandal at the National Level to attract media attention. The opposition seems to be in tatters with inability to cornor the Government. What does the opposition invent ? The Prime Minister’s qualifications. So what if the PM does not have a BA or MA Degree. How many politicians in India do possess these qualifications. And for that matter does the constitution of India demand such qualifications from its politicians.
The row speaks of nothing but the fickle mindedness of a few politicians who are in the habit of courting controversies and thereby attracting media attention. It also speaks of lack of insight on part of some media houses who for reasons best known to all, relish raising controversies about the PM. It is high time that the bottomline is established, the PM is not mine or yours but he is the PM of all of us.
Yours etc….
