People protest against irregular supply of water, power

UDHAMPUR, May 20:  Up in arms against irregular supply of water and power, there were three separate protest demonstrations by the people at Jakhani, Roundmail and Rethain in Udhampur district.
The protest demonstrations were joined by a large number of women. The protesting people raised slogans against the Government and PHE as well as PDD authorities. They lamented that despite repeated pleas by them, there was no improvement in the power and water supply.
The protesting villagers warned to block the roads and resort to more intensified protests if the Government does not take immediate action to improve the water and power supply to their respective areas.
