This has reference to the article ‘Baisakhi and new beginning” DE Apr 13. The author has highlighted the socio-religious and spiritual significance of this festival. However, it is not correct to say that Buddhists also celebrate this festival as on this day Buddha attained enlightenment. It is widely known that Buddha Purnima falls in the month of May. Needless to say, that historical facts attest to the above clarification.
