Cashew declines on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, Apr 14:  Cashew prices fell Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists amid adequate stocks.
Increased arrivals from producing belts against fall in demand from bulk consumers also put pressure on the cashew prices.
Cashew kernel (No 180, 210, 240 and 230) prices fell Rs 5 each to close at Rs 765-770, Rs 675-690, Rs 650-655 and Rs 600-605 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said muted demand from retailers and stockists against increased arrivals, weighed on cashew prices.

Almond (California) Rs 15,200-15,400, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,200-10,400, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,900-6,200; Abjosh Afghani Rs 5,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 540-550 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 725-825 per kg. (PTI)
