JAMMU, Mar 7: A drug peddler was arrested along with large quantity of intoxicant capsules and tablets from Jammu Railway Station by Government Railway Police (GRP).
As per official sources, during night hours men of GRP Jammu subjected a person for checking at Jammu Railway Station as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, 5500 intoxicant capsules and 150 tablets were recovered from the possession of the person and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Kamal Kishore alias Sonu, son of Ghirdhari Lal, a resident of Karloop, tehsil Marh.
A case under FIR Number 5/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station GRP Jammu and further investigation is in progress.
The GRP men made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO GRP Jammu Devinder Singh and SP Railways Jammu Suram Singh.
