RAJOURI, Feb 10: A team of Forest Division, Rajouri led by Range Officer Kandi, Nissar Hussain dismantled illegal structures comprising of two shops and one `Kacha house’ today.
The eviction was done after issuing notices to the encroachers under Section 48 of J&K Forest Act to the encroachers Wazir Hussain, son of Jamal Din, resident of Sawari and Sher Mohammad, son of Nabla Ladot. They had raised shops while Mohammad Qasim, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Jamola had raised a `kacha’ structure.
Taking cognizance of the matter, Divisional Forest Officer, Rajouri, Anup Soni issued notices and finally constituted the eviction team. The party reached the spot and dismantled all the structures. An FIR has been lodged and further legal action has been initiated.
