JAMMU, Feb 7: Pacca Danga police arrested a thief and recovered stolen cash.
As per police sources, around two weeks back, a theft took place in a Gurdwara at Rehari and a case was registered in this regard at Pacca Danga police station.
During the course of investigation, a team from Pacca Danga police station conducted series of raids and finally arrested a thief, who was involved in the burglary.
The accused has been identified as Raj Kumar, a resident of Sarwal. On his disclosure, Rs 3000 stolen cash was also recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Ajay Bhat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Vivek Shekhar Sharma, SP City Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
