Ambardar for settling migrants in a time frame

JAMMU Feb 6: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today called on the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita and sought a set time frame from him in resolving all the pending issues of the displaced community.
MLC was also accompanied by some renowned intellectuals and social activists of the community which included Prof M K Raina, Bansi Lal Pandita,Dr Ramesh Tamiri , R K Tickoo and T N Bhat president BJP displaced unit who also shared their views and opinions with regards to resolving the issues in time bound manner.
Ambardar raised the issue of pending list of candidates who have applied under the PM package for employment in Valley and made it abundantly and amply clear to the Commissioner that if there is any further delay in the same then he will be lodging a strong protest in front of the Relief Office.
MLC also asked for the complete details of the pending medical cases pending in the office of the Relief Commssionerate due to which lot of patients who are suffering from life threatening diseases have to suffer due to non payment of their due amount which they have spent on medical needs and further added that he has told that some of the patients have even passed away while their files are still eating dust in the department which he said is not acceptable at any cost and sought immediate action on the same.
Amongst lot of other issues MLC raised vociferously the issue of bifurcation and made it clear on unequivocal terms that no harassment should be done to anyone if the member of the family has gone outside the State for some work or livelihood as no one can survive on the meager amount of the relief so the process should be made simpler and the only condition has to be that the person should be registered with the Relief Organization.
Timely supply of ration and disbursement of relief were also discussed by the MLC and also said that he will be taking up same with the Commisoner Secretary CAPD and Finance so that everything falls in place as the Festival of Shiv Ratri is nearing.
