RAJOURI, Feb 6: The police arrested a minor boy for alleged sexual assault on 8-year-old girl at village Chhaprian (Thudi) near Khandli in Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that on the basis of complaint received from parents of the girl, a case FIR No. 66/ 2016 under Section 376/ 511 RPC was registered against the accused, Wasid Iqbal, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of the same village. He allegedly sexually assaulted the girl in the neighbourhood last evening. The girl narrated the matter to the parents and they removed her to hospital for treatment. Today an FIR was got lodged in this connection.
The police party led by SHO Rajouri arrested the boy and started investigation. The medical examination of the victim has also been conducted by a team of doctors at District hospital Rajouri.
