JAMMU, Feb 6: Under Operation Sadbhavana, a medical-cum-veterinary camp was organized today under the aegis of Kalidhar Brigade at Siot, a prominent hub of many small villages.
A large number of patients including men, women and children from nearby villages were benefited in the camp. The Bakarwal community was provided free medical treatment for their livestock by veterinary doctors from Army and Civil.
A total of 1296 patients and 1418 animals were treated during the camp by five medical and three veterinary doctors, respectively.
Army has been consistently engaging in the welfare of the people in border villages by organizing medical and veterinary camp, as the areas in hinterland are deprived of basic medical and veterinary facilities due to inadequate infrastructure.
