KATHUA, Feb 1: The irate residents of Kerian Gandyal today staged a protest in front of DC Office here in protest against the mushrooming growth of crushers on the banks of Ravi river in the area.
The protestors alleged that over 400 stone crushers have been established in the Ravi belt in the area by Punjab while the area falls under the jurisdiction of J&K. They said the J&K people are facing problems in establishing the stone crusher and the mushrooming crushers from Punjab have led to pollution in the area.
