JAMMU, Feb 1: ABVP leader Lokinder Singh has appealed the Jammu University to settle the issue of M Phil aspirants, who are being denied admission despite they appeared in the entrance exam for the same last year.
“Various M Phil aspirants of around 8 departments had appeared in the entrance exam of M Phil last year in the month of August but their result was withheld by the concerned departments because the Controller of Examination had not declared Semester IV results by that time and thus these students were denied admission in M Phil for no fault of their but the Jammu University,” the ABVP leader said in a statement.
Lokinder Singh demanded that these aspirants must be given admission in the M Phil and the Jammu University should take positive decision in this regard immediately. He also appealed the Vice Chancellor to personally look into the matter and also ensure that there may not be a communication gap between the students and JU administration.
