“Govt has failed to maintain credibility of SSB”

KISHTWAR, Dec 30: Expressing serious concern over the copying in recent SSB examination in some particular examination centers in the State, the civil society of Kishtwar has asked the Government ensure that such practice is not repeated in future and maintain the credibility of such examinations to make fair selection of deserving candidates in the State.
In a meeting here today held under the leadership of Shamsher Singh Bhandari a senior Congress leader grave concern was expressed over the failure of Government in maintaining the credibility of the SSB and said the way the mass copying has taken place during the recent tests it reveals that Government was making these examinations free for all.
The meeting demanded that in future foolproof arrangements be made in examination centers otherwise people will lose all faith in the autonomous bodies conducting such examinations.
The meeting also demanded that the examination centers for the candidates of Kishtwar be kept at Kishtwar instead of Doda while those of Doda and Bhadarwah be kept at their particular tehsil headquarters.
The meeting also expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition of Batote -Kishtwar Highway and demanded that the alternative four Highway be constructed to minimize the road accidents.
