DGP supervises police recruitment process

JAMMU, Dec 14: Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar today visited Pulwama and supervised the ongoing recruitment process of constables which was held in district police lines. He enquired about different methods  being applied for outdoor tests of the aspirants.
Mr. Rajendra, on the occasion interacted with the candidates to get fed back about the gadgets being utilized in the physical tests. He said that the process would be purely transparent and deserving youth would be selected on the basis of merit. The whole process is being monitored through latest equipments to ensure transparency in the recruitment, he added.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Board, L. Mohanti, briefed the DGP about the ongoing process. The DGP asked the members and staff involved in the process to be impartial and passionate towards the candidates participating in the recruitment. He said that by inducting qualified and energetic youth in the Organization, our capabilities to serve the people and the Nation would be enhanced, besides providing employment to the unemployed youth of the State.
Later, the DGP had a meeting with the board members and  discussed pace of recruitment in other districts of the Valley. He was informed that recruitment is being held as per norms and schedule already framed by Police Headquarters. DGP disclosed that the recruitment of 4000 constables in the Organization is looked by the people with great expectations and we are committed to provide employment to the deserving youth. He said that the youth are showing great enthusiasm by participating in the recruitment rallies despite hostile weather in the valley to join the force and serve the people of the State.
The DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Zone), SJM Giliani, IGP Railways, MS Salaria, IGP IRP (Kashmir), Sunil Kumar, DIG (CKR), G H. Bhat, SSP Pulwama Tajinder Singh and other Board members.
