JAMMU, Dec 10: Shri Sain Charitable Trust today organized a blood donation camp in the memory of its founder and Ex-Chairman, Dr Roop Lal Sharma. Around 110 people including students and staff from the different colleges running under the Trust donated blood during the camp.
Minister of State (MoS) for Roads and Buildings, Sunil Sharma was chief guest on the occasion, while the camp was organized in the premises of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research in collaboration with Blood Bank Government Medical College and Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital (SMGS) headed by Dr Rubina Showkat Choudhary, Blood Transfusion Officer (BTO).
The staff and students from Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Jammu College of Physiotherapy, Trikuta College of Para-medical Sciences and Management, Trikuta Degree College, Trikuta College of Management, Jammu Law College, Trikuta College of Education voluntarily donated the blood. All these colleges falls under Shri Sain Charitable Trust.
The Minister complemented the initiative taken by the Trust for a social and genuine cause, which can save number of lives. He also appreciated the staff members and students of the College under Trust for the participation in the blood donation camp. Mr Sharma said that that saving one’s life is the biggest noble earn and called upon the masses to come forward and donate the blood at the regular interval of time.
The Chairperson of JIAR Suman Sharma, Managing Directors Ritesh Sharma and Ravish Sharma, all Principals of different Colleges under the Trust, Vice Principal, Nitin Mahajan, organizers Dr Twinkle Gupta, Associate Professor Kayachikitsa Deptt. and Dr Varun Padha Medical Officer complimented Dr. Rubina Showkat Choudhary, BTO, Medical College Jammu and her team for the co-operation for organizing the blood donation camp.
