Pensioners highlight demands

JAMMU, Dec 3: J&K State Pensioners Association has reiterated the demands for release of 6% DA installment in respect of State pensioners and Employees from July 2015 forthwith in order to relieve them from undue hardships they are facing due to steep rising prices of pulses, vegetables, onion and other essential goods of daily consumption.
Krishan Singh, president of SPA fully endorsed the serious concern expressed by the All J&K Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) headed by Abdul Majid Khan over the callous attitude of the State Government in this regard.
Addressing the meeting, Khan said that Government has deprived the pensioners of their genuine demands like enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 besides release of 6% DA arrears from July 2015.
The other related demands were highlighted in the meeting.
