BHADERWAH, Nov 25: A man committed suicide by immolating himself at his residence in Sungli area.
As per police sources, a man identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Fakir Chand of Sungli set himself at his residence late last night after having some altercation with his wife namely Renu Devi. His wife tried to save him and received burn injuries too.
Both were rushed to SDH Bhaderwah, from where the man was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
The woman was responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
