SRINAGAR, Nov 6: Making more and more people aware about basic financial literacy, J&K Bank conducted a series of camps in Budgam and Baramulla districts.
The LCC centre Budgam organized awareness camp in Khansahib College in collaboration with NABARD and the local business unit, wherein students of first, second and third year participated besides staff of the college.
Speaking on the occasion, Facilitator FLCC Budgam A H Rafiqi educated the participants about various financial products, particularly Education and Laptop Finance, Debit and Credit Cards, Rupay Debit Cards etc.
He explained to them benefits of Students Saving Bank besides informing them about financial products that can help them in career progression of their choice.
The DDM NABARD emphasized on the latest technology adopted by the banks which include Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and linkage of Aadhar Card with the account thus fulfilling the criteria under e-KYC scheme norms which have resulted in paperless transactions in the banks and urged them to avail these services for their own benefit.
Similar camps were conducted by FLCC Budgam in RSETI Budgam, at Surasyar and Brenpathri village in Charar Sharief area.
Meanwhile, the bank’s FLCC Centre Baramulla also organized a financial literacy and credit counseling session at RSETI Sopore for a batch of 24 candidates undergoing training in Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
Director RSETI Riyaz Ahmad Baba impressed upon them the importance of the credit counseling session.
Facilitator FLCC Baramulla educated the participants about benefits of saving with banks besides providing them an overtview of bank’s saving products and loan schemes tailored for income generating activities.
The formation of project report regarding various schemes was also explained to the trainees in detail.
Similar camps were conducted on the sidelines of Block Level Bankers Committee Meeting in Block Development Office Wagoora and Government Boys Higher Secondary School at Village Bijhama in Block Boniyar.
