5 bovine animals rescued, 2 held

RAJOURI, Nov 2: Police foiled bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two persons from  Dhangri  area, falling under the jurisdiction of Rajouri Police Station and rescued five animals.
Sources said, a police team led by SHO,  Chaman Gorkha on a specific information laid a naka at Dhangri near Rajouri. After seeing the police party, the bovine smugglers tried to escape, but were chased and arrested.
The arrested smugglers are identified as Mohd Qasim, son of Mohd Yousif and Mohd Akram, son of Abdul Rehman, both residence of Godha. The police rescued five animals from their possession. They were moving on foot towards Mughal Road.
A case FIR number 546/ 2015 under Section  188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at Police Station, Rajouri in this connection.
