KISHTWAR, Nov 1: A man died due to gun shot under mysterious circumstances in Shishwada Cheerji area, falling under the jurisdiction of Padyarna police post here.
As per police sources, a man identified as Kuldeep Singh, son of Sounder Singh of Shishwada Cheerji along with her relative Leela Ram (SPO in JKP) had gone for some work in the jungle area near their native village.
Late last evening, SPO informed one of the family members of Kuldeep Singh that the latter got killed due to accidental gun shot.
After getting information, family members rushed to the spot and brought the body to home. However, police team also reached the house and shifted the body of the deceased to District Hospital Kishtwar.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
Kishtwar police has initiated inquest proceedings into the matter.
