JAMMU, Oct 30: Additional Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Kishore Kumar today framed charges under Prevention of Corruption Act against Dinesh Singh, the then Patwari Top-Sherkhania.
The accused Patwari was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant Vijay Kumar, son of Dhamuli Ram of Sarwal Colony on October 28, 2013.
After hearing Senior PO Ajay appearing for the Vigilance Organization whereas Advocate KS Charka appearing for the accused person, Additional Sessions Judge observed, “perusal of the charge sheet, the statement of the prosecution witnesses, seizure memos and written complaint of the complainant besides other material available on file, proves to the satisfaction of the court that the accused is prima facie involved in the commission of offences under Prevention of Corruption Act”.
With these observations, court framed charges against the accused Patwari.
