Srinagar, Oct 28: Police today said three persons died in two separate road accidents in Kargil and Kupwara districts of the State.
A police spokesman said a Tanker bearing registration number JK14B-5788 coming from Leh fell into a deep gorge at Pashkum in Kargil district, resulting in on spot death of driver namely Sandhoku Ram and conductor namely Ajay Kumar. The deceased hail from Udhampur district of Jammu Division. “Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The police spokesman said a sumo bearing registration number JK09-6433 met with an accident at Sarmerg in Handwara area of Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to a minor boy namely Mohammad Ibrahim Mir. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Zachaldara for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his next of kin,” the spokesman said, adding police have registered a case in this regard.
