JAMMU, Oct 28: With eight more people today testing positive for Dengue virus the total number of patients affected with this vector-borne disease in Jammu region has reached to 116.
According Dr BS Pathania, Director, Health Services Jammu, eight more people were today found to be positive for Dengue. He said that out of the eight infected persons, seven are adults (6 males and 1 female) and one child (female).
Giving more details, Dr Pathania, said that out of the eight Dengue affected persons seven belong to Jammu district and one to Kathua.
He further disclosed that the till today the department conducted 672 tests for Dengue out of which 116 were found to be positive for Dengue virus.
Dr Pathania advised the people not to store water in open utensils and allow stagnation of water in their surroundings, as stagnant water is a breeding ground for Dengue mosquitoes. He also advised the people to prevent themselves from mosquito bites.
