11 injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Oct 26: Eleven persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley.A police spokesman said a sumo bearing registration number JK03A-3774 hit a pedestrian namely Reyaz Ahmad Awan at Dandipora in Kokernag area of Anantnag district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment,” he said.
In another accident at Anantnag, a Truck bearing registration number PB02BU-9903 collided with a Maruti car bearing registration number TN07AT-2644 and a Tavera bearing registration number JK02Ab-5735 at Uranhall in Bijbehara area of the district, resulting in injuries to Shaheena, Gulzar Ahmad Halwai, Haneef Ahmad and Mohammad Amin Rather. “All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital Bijbehara for treatment,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said an ECO vehicle bearing registration number JK01T-2953 driven by Shabir Ahmad Rather hit a minor girl namely Saida Nazir at Main Chowk in Handwara in Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
In Srinagar, the police spokesman said, a Tata 407 bearing registration number JK09-777 driven by Abdul Rashid collided with a Maruti car bearing registration number JK04-1790 at Shalteng in city outskirts here, resulting in injuries to five passengers boarding the Maruti car. “All the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman added.
