JAMMU, Oct 16: Various Sikh Organizations condemned the inaction of the police authorities against the real culprits of the broad day light shootout and attempt to murder which took place in District Court Complex, Jammu on October 6, 2015.
Addressing a press conference, the representatives of various Sikh Organizations including Akali Dal Man, Akali Dal Badal, Sikh Intellectuals, Sikh Student Federation and District Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Jammu, said that as per the FIR lodged with Janipur police station, Surinder Singh Kala alongwith his accomplices Davinder Singh alias Bunty and Jasvinder Singh alias Chotu and some other persons had attacked Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa with deadly weapons to kill him. They added that police has not arrested Surinder Singh and his associates till date.
“A malicious campaign of misinformation in order to misguide the administration and general public has been launched to shield the real culprits, who are roaming freely despite having done such a dastardly act”, they alleged.
They stated that the public conscience and faith in the police has been shaken badly due to the incident, adding that apathy of police is condemnable.
They demanded that the culprit who attempted to murder Ranjodh Singh alias Nalwa be arrested without any further delay and a high level enquiry should be conducted into the core issue of dispute of shops number 217 ad 50 located in fruit and vegetable complex Narwal to know how these shops were clandestinely transferred in the name  of Surinder Singh and Devinder Singh, when Ranjodh Singh had equal share in the shops and Kala had already admitted in court that Nalwa is equal partner in these shops.
