Notorious bovine smuggler held

SAMBA, Oct 2: Rakh Amb Tali police arrested a notorious bovine smuggler and rescued 33 bovine animals from his possession, which he was trying to smuggle to Punjab.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Rakh Amb Tali police post arrested a notorious bovine smuggler and rescued 33 bovine animals from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Ahmed Abdullah of Majalta, at present Basantar, district Samba.
The accused was trying to smuggle the bovines to Punjab from village Khangwala, but police nabbed him.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the accused at Rakh Amb Tali police post and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali SI Imran Khan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Samba police station Sanjeev Singh Chib and SSP Samba Joginder Singh.
