INTUC leader takes up workers’ issues with X-En

JAMMU, Sept 10:  A deputation of Water Works (PHE)  Employees Association led by State president of Indian National Trade Union Congress Shiv Kumar Sharma met the Executive Engineer of PHE (Mech) South Division and discussed the issues of the workers.
Accompanied by South division unit president Ravi Kumar and others, the INTUC leader projected the issues of the workers with regard to release of pending wages of 22 to 28 months besides regularization of daily wagers, ITI and Non-ITI workers. Mr Sharma said that provision of weekly off should be kept for the workers who perform duty at tube wells/ PHE stations. He also pressed for holding of DPC and maintenance of PHE stations/ tube wells and provide benches and torches to the workers.
The Executive Engineer   assured the deputation to take up the issue with the higher authorities.
