JAMMU, Sept 5: Retired Policemen in a meeting held here discussed their issues and also announced district body for Rajouri.
In the meeting held here today, the members of All J&K Retd Police Personnel NGO & Others Forum, strongly opposed Govt order No. 229-F of 2014, dated 17-10-2014 with regard to pay anomalies as the effect is being given prospective, which means the effect will be given to the personnel from the date of order. They said with this order great injustice has been done with the retired policemen.
The members pointed out that even after completion of promotion course, some police personnel were not promoted and the list was delayed. They also demanded enhancement of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and enhancement of honorarium of SPOs from Rs 3000 to Rs 10,000. They said that OROP scheme should also be implemented in J&K Police.
Meanwhile, Om Parkash Sharma has been nominated as president, Taj Hussain vice president, Bashir Akhtar general secretary, Abdul Hamid secretary, Dev Raj Sharma cashier and Mohd Akram as organizer of the Forum for district Rajouri.
