JAMMU, Sept 3: Rebuffing the statements of former Ministers and legislators BJP today said that they have nothing to claim as achievement during their tenure as ministers or MLAs and hence they find fault in the working of PDP-BJP coalition.
BJP Mandal Presidents of Billawar, Ramkot and Kandi Mandals, Amrik Singh, Kuldeep Abrol and Asha Nand, in a joint statement, have rebuffed the allegations of former Minister Dr. Manohar Lal by terming them as outcome of mere frustration.
While condemning the statement of Dr. Manohar Lal, wherein he has stated that Billawar has been ignored under Prime Minister Awas Yojana, they said that it is a great achievement that Kathua and Basohli have been included in the Yojana alongwith other seven towns of Jammu province under the said Yojana. “Getting two towns of Kathua districts included in the Yojana is a welcome step and we should not politicize it, rather each one of us, cutting across party lines and leaving aside the desire to give political orientation, must appreciate it”, they added.
The BJP Mandal Presidents said that political leaders have every right to make political statements and express their views on decisions and policies of the government but simply criticizing every decision for the sake of politics is not a healthy practice and it should be discarded if the leaders of opposition parties are really worried for the development and welfare of the areas which have been neglected by the successive Governments in the State.
The BJP leaders advised Dr. Manohal Lal and others of his ilk not to provoke the people without going through the coalition government’s people-friendly governance and development based decisions.
Claiming that a number of development activities have been undertaken by the PDP-BJP coalition Government, these leaders reminded Dr. Manohar Lal that within a period of less than six months many more developmental works have been taken up in hand in those areas which were completely neglected by previous two term MLA.
