JAMMU, Sept 3: Alleging that the premature transfers in the Power Development Department (PDD) have created resentment among the PDD employees, All J&K Power Employees Co-ordination Committee (JKPECC) has appealed the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and keep check on such transfers.
Condemning the premature transfers in PDD, the committee in a meeting held here today at JKEEGA office, Ambedkar Chowk and chaired by its chairman, Doulat Ram Bhagat, said that the competent and hardworking officers are being harassed due to political high handedness by the Government, which neither has come up with the new transfer policy nor is adhering to the existing one.
“There are number of surprising transfer orders wherein competent officers have been prematurely transferred for unknown reasons, which shows the seriousness of the administration towards the department”, the committee said adding these premature transfers have created resentment among the PDD employees and shattered their morale.
The Committee asked the Government not to test the patience of the PDD employees and appealed both Chief Minister, Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Deputy Chief Minister, Nirmal Singh, to intervene into the matter and keep some check on premature transfers in the department to save the employees from further harassment.
The committee members who attended the meeting were JS Rathore, Vijay Sharma, Rakesh Goswami, Sukhdev Singh, Bhanu Partap Singh, Goutam Sharma, Narotam Kumar and many others.
