Manohar Lal conducts tour of Billawar constituency

KATHUA, Aug 30:  Senior Congress leader and former legislator Dr Manohar Lal Sharma conducted an extensive tour of the far- flung areas of Billawar constituency and took stock of the problems being faced by the people.
During  tour  the Ex-MLA  paid visit to  Rodla, Taki and Thamnal Morhas of Panchayat lower Baggan and  Riar, Kenta, Katli Morhas of village and Panchayat Upper Baggan, Palai Morha of Marhoon Panchayat block Baggan and Panchyat Krishenpur Billawar and   interacted with the local people, Panchs and Sarpanchs and listened to the problems faced by the people of the area.
In village Panchayat  Lower and Upper Baggan the people along with the Sarpanch Suresh Kumar,  Darshan Kumar chairman and   Krishen Chand Sharma Sarpanch expressed concern over the non- availability of  Naib Tehsildar Baggan and BDO Baggan  in the office since long due to which the routine works of  the public are suffering.  They further reported that the Naib Tehsildar posted in Baggan Niabat is running office from Kathua district  and has not paid even a single visit to the  office at Baggan since he is posted there.
As reported by the public, the 25 KVA transformer located at Morha Patti Mukunda had been burnt about three months back and public made contributions for the shifting the same to the main road but even then no body from PDD paid heed to replace the same after repeated requests to the authorities.  They said that four  hand pumps are out of order for last six months in the area and nobody got them repaired. Water Supply Scheme  at Marhoon,  Lower Palai is defunct for more than six months and public is suffering due to  non operational WSS. The same is the condition of Krishenpur Panchayat in which Sarpanch Dr Narinder Vaid expressed deep concern over closure and merger of Govt Primary School Kala Dabbar in Middle School Kote which is 3 kms away and similar is the position of Pry School Thali.
Dr Sharma criticized the way of working and style of present Coalition Government and local MLA who  happens to be the Dy CM of the State. He said the public of this belt is also facing non-availability of  CAPD APL, BPL ration and sugar for more than three-four months. The link road from Billawar to Katli, Katli to Deri Gala via Chew and Riar to Baggan is in very bad condition.
