JAMMU, Aug 27: Up in arms against poor supply of power as well water on the campus, the students and Scholars of Veterinary Science in R S Pura Campus of SKUAST-Jammu, held a strong protest demonstration, here today.
The protesting students raised slogans against the University authorities and warned a stir if no attention is given to their demands and grievances. They also took out a protest march on the campus and then held a protest demonstration in support of their demands.
The protesting students were particularly grieved over non -hygiene condition on the campus. They were also demanding facility of canteen on the campus.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Avinash Sharma, Amandeep Singh and Samia Irshad, who highlighted grievances and demands of the students. They lamented that despite repeated requests to the Dean Veterinary Sciences, no action was taken.
The protest demonstration continued for more than three hours till Director Education from Chatha Campus reached the site and assured to look into all demands of the students.
