JAMMU, Aug 23: The Central Working Committee (CWC) of All J&K Plus 2 PSC Lecturers’ Organization, Jammu Province has demanded verification of degrees of all the officials including Lecturers/ZEO’s, Principals and even higher officials promoted in School Education Department.
In a meeting, held here today, the Organization was unanimous in the opinion that bulk promotions of teachers, masters and lecturers made under the previous regime were effected without proper verification of degrees and other mandatory eligibility conditions. There is desperate need to rectify the serious lapses for ensuring justice to the aggrieved and for better educational environment, the meet said and also demanded that as in other departments, departmental examination by J&K PSC should also be made mandatory for all teachers and masters for their entry into the gazetted cadre to further streamline and improve the quality of school education in J&K. Involving J&K PSC would eliminate many issues that become a bone of contention between the direct recruits and the promotees, they said.
Those who attended the meeting, included Manjit Singh Chib, Ajay Singh Baloria, Sandeep Sharma, Ranjit Singh Manhas, Rakesh Choudhary, Rishi Kumar, Dr Sanjay Arora, Sanjeev Gupta, Sumit Sawhney, Vinod Kumar, Jatinder Singh and others.
