Burglary case solved, goods worth lakhs recovered; 3 held

SRINAGAR, July 7: Police in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district have solved a burglary case and recovered stolen goods worth 2.5 lakhs from the possession of three arrested burglars.
A police spokesman said that on June 6, last month, a case was registered under FIR No. 47/2015 regarding theft of copper utensils  belonging to Dargah Matipora in Drugmulla area of the district.
After investigations, the police managed to arrest three burglars identified as Mohammad Sidiq Waza, Abdul Majeed Shah and Mushtaq Ahmad Dar.
“Police recovered copper utensils of about 2.5 lakhs from their possession. The stolen property was recovered from Sopore and Baramulla. Further investigation of the case is in progress and more arrests are expected,” the spokesman added.
