RAJOURI, June 28: The Rashtriya Pahari Andolan (RPA) and Jammu Kashmir Pahari People’s Movement (JKPPM) have expressed  grave concern over  the alleged embezzlement in the Pahari scholarship and the injustice with the Pahari speaking students at  Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, Vikrant Sharma, chairman of Rashtriya Pahari Andolan and Shahbaz Khan, chief executive of JKPPM, alleged that the recent surfaced scholarship scam amounting  around Rs  20 lacs was  related to the scholarship to the Pahari speaking students. “In a much planned way,  the said scholarship instead of giving to the beneficiaries, was  diverted to other accounts. This is a high level of discrimination with the Pahari students and a move to crush the emerging Pahari talent of the area,” Vikrant alleged.
Shahbaz Khan   appealed the Special Investigation Team (SIT), especially to the SSP Rajouri Dr  Haseeb Mughal to speed up the enquiry and put behind bars the main culprits.  He said that it was  really surprising that why police was  not enquiring the Registrar and the Vice Chancellor when every scam was pointing figure on them.
