RAJOURI, June 25: Rajouri Police and SDRF team rescued all the three persons, who were marooned in Chenab river, near Dhanwan, Chingus during the intervening night of June 24-25.
The three persons, namely Muneer Hussain, son of Wali Mohd, Mukhtar Ahmed son of Maqbool Husssain and Zulfqar Ahmed, son of Maqbool, all residence of village Androllah under the jurisdiction Police Station Rajouri, were trapped in flash flood while crossing the river along with 10 animals.
On receiving the information at PP Chingus, SI Mohd Fareed swung into action under the supervision of I/C SDFR Rajouri, Dy SP Jabeen Lone and SHO Rajouri, Inspr Yashpaul Singh, who rushed to the spot and after hectic struggle saved the precious human life using rope without carrying own life.
Local assistants from the Army units and the civilian were also sought.
