MLC meets displaced community representatives, discusses problems

JAMMU, June 18: Member Legislative Council (MLC) Surinder Ambardar met various delegation and individuals of the displaced community from Jagti, Nagrota, Purkhoo and Buta Nagar Camps and listened to their grievances and problems patiently.
The individuals and the delegation raised may issues like erratic supply of electricity, shortage of water supply, issuance of ration cards, etc.
He assured them that their genuine grievances shall be addressed by raising the issues with the concerned authorities.
President BJP Displaced TN Bhat was also present.
Later while interacting with the party workers, MLC urged to spread the message of party within the displaced community and help in implementing the policies and programmes of the party.
During the interaction, it was also discussed that the large immovable properties of the displaced community and the properties of religious places, shrines and temples have been encroached upon by the anti-social elements and asked the President to compile a list of all the properties encroached upon during the last 25 years, with complete data, so that issue can be taken with the concerned authorities.
During the meeting the matter of unregistered migrants also came up and after discussion it was resolved all those displaced families, persons who have failed to register themselves with the Relief Organisation, shall contact the BJP Displaced Kashmir at Sarwal office to help and facilitate their registration with the Relief Organisation.
Relief Commissioner was also urged to revamp the Relief Organisation.
