JAMMU, June 9: State vice president and MLC Ramesh Arora today visited the Blind Home meant for female children at Roop Nagar. Administration and management explained the problem faced by them to Mr Arora , who assured all possible help to them.
They said that rules were not framed for implementation of Act meant for betterment of Blinds and demanded the implementation of the same. They also demanded salary be increased, services of peon be provided to Home. Further they demanded vehicle or vehicle service be provided to children up to school.
Ramesh Arora assured that he will take up matter with concerned Social Welfare Minister and officials.
Arora said that he will see to it that rules should be framed to catter the needs of blind.
Arora said that every person have right to life with dignity and respect. “We have a moral obligation to provide these people all possible help so that they should not be deprived”, he added.
Earlier, Arora visited Old Age Home and Home of Orphan Bal Niketan.
